Builder's Circle Build - June 2011
Recently, over 70 members of Builder's Circle got together to begin construction on a multi-unit development, the first for Twin Cities Habitat, that will house eight families. The excitement and dedication of the volunteers made for a very fun and productive week. Builder's Circle members picked up their hammers and worked alongside each other to learn some new skills and witness the direct effect of their giving.
This year the build was at Central Avenue in Northeast Minneapolis, an eight-unit townhome. Builder’s Circle members were the first to begin work on this site. By the end of the week, the flooring, wall framework, and trusses were well on their way. Several members of the families who will be moving in to these townhomes worked alongside our volunteers. It was a great opportunity to engage with the families and take part in the construction of their new homes.
