Through the Volunteer and Learn program, you can learn how to maintain your home, reach your next financial goal, volunteer on site and gain new skills, create your own projects, participate in exclusive events, and more. The best part? You can connect with homeowners just like you!
What to Expect
Ready to roll up your sleeves? We offer a variety of opportunities, from on-site build days to workshops and more. Learn skills that will help any homeowner.
Skill Builder Days
Site supervisors will guide groups through demonstrations of different homebuilding skills. This may include insulation, drywall, trim, flooring, and painting. During the build, you may have the opportunity for hands-on practice!
Seasonal tasks may include (but are not limited to) the following:

Fall and Winter: Rough-in, finishing work, and painting

Spring and Summer: Framing, siding, scaffold setup, windows, and doors
Please note: Tasks may vary.
Learn Together
Meet in a Habitat classroom or partner site to learn a skill from experts in the community. Classes will focus on a variety of topics including personal finance, home mechanicals, working in Home Owners Associations, and more.
Build Community
Join in Habitat-sponsored events to advance our mission and celebrate success. Enjoy bi-annual Homeowner Celebrations, Habitat on the Hill, the Carter Work Project, and the Hard Hat & Black Tie gala, just to name a few.
