When you help the ReStore, you help your community. Our profits enable Twin Cities Habitat to build more homes and serve more families. Some positions even offer merchandise discounts after the first month of service!
ReStore volunteers must be at least 16 unless otherwise noted; 14- and 15-year-olds may volunteer if accompanied by an adult. Most volunteer hours are weekdays between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
All volunteers must be flexible and task-oriented. Tasks will vary on a daily basis; volunteers will work with the ReStore Manager to prioritize tasks and choose assignments that match the volunteer’s skills and abilities. The manager will provide training and supervision for all volunteer positions.

Position Descriptions:
Customer Assistant:
Greets customers, answers the phone, answers customer questions and assists them in making purchases, assists ReStore employees in maintaining a clean and attractive store. Time Commitment: One 4-hour shift/week for at least one month.
Merchandise Assistant:
Assists ReStore employees in maintaining a clean and attractive store, accepts and sorts donations, prints price tags and shelves inventory, loads and unloads vehicles. Time Commitment: One 4-hour shift/week for at least one month.
Support Volunteer:
Assists ReStore employees in maintaining a clean and attractive store, performs small repairs, sorts donations, prints price tags and shelves inventory, assists customers in making purchases, loads and unloads vehicles. Age Requirement: 14, with adult supervisor who is at least 21. Time Commitment: Weekly, with minimum of one half-day/week.
Volunteer Supervisor:
Lead volunteers in projects at our ReStore! Assist the ReStore staff in supervising volunteers as they complete various tasks: maintaining a clean and attractive store, sorting donations, pricing stock and placing inventory, loading and unloading vehicles. Time Commitment: One 4-hour shift/week for at least one month.
